As a Senior Consultant within our Risk Advisory Services – Regulated Internal Audit practice at RSM UAE, you will support Managers and Senior Managers in delivering high-quality Internal Audit and Risk Advisory engagements, primarily for clients in the Financial Services sector. You will be responsible for executing risk-based internal audit engagements, assessing governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks, identifying regulatory compliance gaps, and providing practical recommendations that help clients strengthen their control environment and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute end-to-end risk-based internal audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up, in line with firm methodology, IPPF standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform walkthroughs, process reviews, risk assessments, and control testing.
Evaluate governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks, identifying control deficiencies and compliance gaps.
Assess compliance with UAE Financial Services regulations and internal policies, including requirements issued by CBUAE, SCA, DFSA, and FSRA.
Identify operational, regulatory, and compliance risks, and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.
Prepare high-quality audit reports, working papers, and engagement documentation.
Manage client stakeholder interactions, including information gathering, validation of findings, and communication of audit results.
Ensure engagements are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Supervise and mentor junior team members during engagements.
Contribute to training, knowledge-sharing, methodology enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk Advisory practice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
CIA or CA qualifications will be considered an advantage.
Experience:
4–6 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit or Risk Advisory, preferably within a consulting firm or Big 4 environment.
Strong experience in delivering risk-based internal audit engagements.
Exposure to Financial Services clients, including banking, insurance, investment management, or other regulated entities.
Practical experience with Internal Audit standards, risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks
Experience assessing compliance with UAE regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
